Partial solar eclipse

Partial solar eclipse observed from my suburban backyard in Camden Park, South Australia (29 April 2014). Fortuitously I couldn't find my solar lens filter so I started playing around with a piece of loose filter....wouldn't pass the ophthalmologists warnings, but I immediately saw the creative possibilities.

Fast for My Feet

I shot this photograph in Geneva in 2005 and titled it Running.
It was recently selected to feature on the cover of Ann E. Loewen's debut novel,
Fast For My Feet.
Ann's book is available for purchase on Amazon and as an e-book via google.

The smiling face was painted on a paling fence in Geneva. The swirling clouds were created using an airborne camera, that involves throwing the camera into the air whilst taking an exposure and then catching it!  The two images were then combined using photoshop.
